The fire service is under attack! Funding cuts, hiring freezes, training reductions,
challenges to retirement plans, and a general decrease in active support of the profession
that was once seen as “saviors” are now the ugly truths of the climate within which we
must function. But this can change!

RE-INVENTING THE FIRE SERVICE is the answer…
a serious examination of the critical
components required for us to continue to thrive as the ESSENTIAL component of our
communities. No more can we merely “do the job” and expect to be recognized for this good
work. Our primary customer-- the members of the communities we protect-- have little to no
concept of the depth and breadth of services we provide…and the training that is required to
be ready to respond regardless of the demand.
